This exchange is the biggest in the country.
The construction has an "art deco" touch combining a periphery wet and dry market around the center hall with jewelry and silver shops, several halls to buy clothing and textile are around.
Marvelous tropical flowers are sold at the backside of the building. The oriental bazaar is an ideal day trip within the city center, if some more modern is needed there is a new mall right across the street. Here and together with Sisowath Quay is the heart of the capital, it is for sure worth a visit. This place add a bit of a french "flair" to the city, just as some of the houses at Sisowath Quay do.
But the place slowly get tough competition such as in the middle of 2014 a Japanese company opened a huge mall similar to the shopping centers they have in Bangkok and Singapore.
