The station is a bit off the center.
From Koh Kong to Phnom Penh we start around 7 am by bus, there are some bigger coaches waiting to fill up with passengers and about a dozen minibuses and vans which connects the coast and the hinterland.
This is the last southwest terminal which connects from the Thai border to the capital, some people on the visa run also use it for a short exploration of Phnom Penh since the price for the ride is only $ 6.-.
Cambodian people have a different idea what to carry on a minibus. Here are some scenes beside the road and the nature looks really attractive.
When we moved into the Cardamon Mountain the road got real bad one crater after the other, there are some road works but only minimal. Although this road was built by Thai military as a courtesy action some years ago it is totally broken up.
This is nothing special because roads built by Thai people deteriorate after around one year that's the same in their own country, when they want to get some good roads they hire foreign companies because they cant handle that.
